I've been to the place on High Point Rd. as well as Market Street - they are both good. I'd probably try Market Street first - the great thing is there is an awesome little Mexican Grocery Store next to LaBlon Brazilian Steakhouse while you are over on Market. That's where I get my steaks - their butcher is great.
At the Fanta City, the store is called Super G and instead of having a row or section of "ethnic" food, they have a row of "american" food. Everything is better there and they carry most everything you can't find at a regular grocery store. And super fresh fish and the like. Get there now!
For the best Armenian delicacies we do mailorder from a Boston suburb, family owned market, Massis, ...things like fresh Lamejune, Baklava, Manti, Grape leaves...all fresh and fabulous.
Oh i miss all that food, especially sushi! My husb. got me wasabi from either
Food Lion or Walmart, as Harris Teeter is a bit far (We haven't gotten used to having to drive over a half an hour for things yet. Guess that will come in time? Having only one car here is difficult.) If you open up a restaurant or cafe we're there no matter if it takes over a half an hour to get there! So glad i found this post and all the great answers .
There is a small store on Battleground Ave in Greensboro called Kashish Mart which carries several Indian food necessities, including cheaply priced bagged spices. No Tahini though.
