..things like Tahini? Sushi parts like nori, wasabi, and the pink pickled ginger? Better yet the salmon roe, and Thai and Indian spices. Ghee? What's specialty stores have you seen that you like?

I'm just a fan of yummy foods - middle eastern (think Dolmas and Falafel and Doner Kabob!) and Indian (Tandoori Chicken, Tikki Masala) and Thai (Tom ka gai). *sigh* I really, really do love food a little too much, don't I? I swear I need to open a restaurant or cafe before I die, or I'm going to go crazy!!!!

Harris Teeter is very good to carry the mainstream ethic stuff like Tahini and the sushi stuff. There is an Indian food market in Greensboro as well. Check out HT's selection before you give up hope!

Is Fanta City International mall a large store, or a strip? Is it a small store? Any info would be great. I have to have my Miso (for miso soup), and special items for cooking. If anyone has any more input, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!!

AH! I have the answer to my question, finally and wonderfully. July 2008 a new store opened up in the Fanta International shopping plaza, (like mentioned above) called "Super G." I heard it was supposed to be big, and have lots of stuff. So, I checked it out. The answer is Yes, it is big and they have lots and lots of great wonderfully priced food stuffs from all parts of Asia as well as a mexican food isle. So far I haven't found all that much in the way of Middle Eastern foods, but I will keep looking. So little is actually printed in English!

I have some pictures of it, but I'm having some trouble getting iPhoto to upload them into Photobucket. (Got this new Mac and don't know how to drive it yet. :P)

There are a couple of good Indian stores, too, around the Hanes Mall Blvd. area which usually carry non-Indian ethnic foods as well. I go there for tea and pickles *L* The other things I can find at Harris-Teeter usually.
