If the area is where I'm thinking about, (Ardale Drive near Business 85), that location is very close to some problem spots on South Main Street in High Point (the Motel 6, several gas stations that tend to attract transients and problem people loitering about, sketchy businesses (strip clubs, seedy motels, used tire stores, check cashing joints), and generally a rather depressed area). The story below is a higher profile crime, but it speaks to a lot of the element plauging that area, unfortunately.

While there are some quiet spots in parts of that area, with modest, tidy homes and decent people, but I'm afraid the location you're asking about is very close to some crime hot spot areas that could easily spill over. You can do a search in that area if you'd like to get more in depth and see some of the incidents that occur around there:

I can't speak to the exact apartments (they may be well managed, so sorry I don't have any opinion on that). My concern isn't over the apartments/condos. My concern would be not feeling particularly comfortable in that location if I had an alternative, particularly walking around in the area at night.
