My wife and I are pondering a move to Greensboro to be closer to family. I'm currently in the Federal government (DoD) looking to transition to the defense contractor world. Anyone have an opinion on working for General Dynamics? In general or specifically the AIS group in Greensboro? Thanks!
I also am in the federal government. I worked in Korea from 1998 to 2004 and one of our contractors was General Dynamics. I don't know about the Greensboro area GD office, but the guys who worked for me were very professional and seemed very happy working for GD. I have abour 4 years left in Civil Service and will also move to NC..I am currently in Kentucky. I am hoping to get a job at a nice local Golf Course in Greensboro area, but if that does not pan out I also would be thinking about working for GD. My backround is telephones, what is yours?
Good Luck with getting a new job and with your move. Also, I heard that if you were in the federal government before August 1985, your pension is state tax free.
Thanks for the comments. Anyone local know anyone there?
