I agree with you on the vast majority of these except the Cloisters and Foxfire in High Point. The area a few blocks South of that gets very rough fast (i.e. Five Points). I can't speak to how the apartment themselves are managed, but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable in that area, because of its proximity to some rough areas and bad characters who can't even get their act together on Christmas Eve:
Also mentioned in this news video is Sharon Street, which is on the OP's list. I'd definitely skip on that one.
These are not isolated incidents in either of those areas, and the Sharon Street location is probably even worse, in terms of the stubborn violence in that whole area of town.
The Willow Woods Apartments on Ingleside Drive (not Ingle Drive) is near Fox Hollow Apartments. The area is fine but I think the Fox Hollow Apartments attract a slightly more upscale renter and are a little more convenient to shopping and services (plus the YMCA), so those are the ones I'd pick if I was choosing between those particular two.
Thank you everyone for your feedback. After my ongoing research ive found that I'll need to increase my budget slightly. Im not too picky but safety & the overall condition of the property is more important than anything else. Sorry about the overload.

If you're expanding into High Point and considering a slightly higher budget, you might want to look at Alexandria Park and/or Palladium Park. The rent for a 1 bed 1 bath is probably a bit higher than you're looking to spend, but includes cable/internet in the price. So unless you were looking to forego those, spending $800/month on rent there is like spending $700/month in a lot of other apartments because you don't have to worry about those expenses.
I'm actually surprised more apartment complexes don't do this as it seems pretty win-win-win. The cable company gets a ton of guaranteed business. The apartment complex has a heck of an amenity to offer and gets a significant discount. The renter has one less expense to worry about (even if it's passed along in the rent).
Keep in mind that if you have the resources—there are numerous condo complexes in the area that would be the same or less as what you'd be paying in rent, plus you can resell it when you are done and want to move or upsize. The condo market in the Triad area has exploded because of the lack of good rentals that are affordable.

Hello,
I am looking to relocate from Orlando, FL within the next 10 months. I've done research, however I am needing some help with recommendations on decent neighborhoods in the Greenboro surrounding areas to rent apartments with a rent range of $500-$700. I'm a single female in my mid 30s, & while I have found cheap rentals I want to make the best choice based on safety/budget/complex. If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again!

Im curious to know how you're liking it as well. I live in south Florida. My son is in your area, and he always tells me I should move near him since Im alone down here with no close family. Theres lots to do down here to keep me occupied, (or at least pre corona). My concern is that I wont be able to keep myself occupied in
the Triad region of NC.
Im a 66 year old female, retired and widowed. I was thinking if I do decide to go there, Id rent first. But Im still not sure of the area and what it has to offer seniors.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
