You can still find home in Ardmore, WS for under 250k. It is exactly the type of established, tree lined space you're looking for. Ardmore is full of young families, sidewalks, historic homes, and a sense of pride. Sad that you didn't see Winston for the lovely place it is, especially compared the the mid sized cities in Eastern NC.
