Middle Schools: E. Lawson Brown vs Central Davidson (houses, school districts)

I'm looking at houses in both of these school districts and would like to hear from people who know these two schools. Which one is better in your opinion? Are there problems in either? Which would you prefer your kids go to? I'm not looking for links to the "School comparison sites" - I know all of those. I would instead prefer opinions of people who have either gone to either school or have children currently in one of these two middle schools.

I went to Central and I dont think my assesment would weigh much since I graduated in 90. Alot can change hopefully for the better. In both schools you are going to have alot of experienced teacher and more with degrees.
From my understanding athletics is really strong now at Central.
