Try the Southern style potato salad at Publix. It's actually pretty good if you like that style of potato salad.

I like the Amish potato salad that Walmart carries in their deli!

Is it mayo or mustard based?

Gonna have to try that… it’s unfortunate that none of the recommendations are from a local eatery. Smh. First place I thought about recommending was a grocery store, too. Sad. UGH!

I can't remember the last time I ordered potato salad in a restaurant...why is that sad?! Strange take. Maybe not so strange really. Ugh.

You really wanna be my CD Arch nemesis don’t you? Lol

Im fairly certain there are at least a couple of local restaurants in the city that offer potato salad. The fact no one — including myself — has mentioned those restaurants is sad. Just says a lot about the food culture.

I’ll also add, the city — including its residents — does a poor job of marketing its food. If you’re in a town with a real food culture, you WILL hear about the good spots.

In the Triad, I just stumble upon places by driving around. I don’t even hear people talking about local restaurant gems in the Triad in casual conversation. In foodie towns, local food is often an element of small talk.

I haven’t seen the Jimmy John’s bike delivery guys pedaling through downtown in a while. Everytime I’m down there I’d usually see one in particular. Wonder where they’ve gone… hmmmmm….

Well, "no one" consists of what...3 or 4 people? Hardly a sufficient sample size to make a judgement about the best potato salad, much less a city's "food culture". Thats ridiculous.
