Looking for a retirement rental in Winston-Salem NC area (Clemmons: apartment, crime rate)

Single professional man in good health looking to relocate to a small apartment with a community atmosphere or share a house in a nice neighborhood.



I've researched some but it's hard to tell where the crime rate is low and there's shopping nearby, etc.


Clemmons seems like it might be a possibility but some of the prices are high or the reviews are critical.


I'd really like to get some local recommendations before I start visiting.

as far as crime, go to the Winston Salem police website and there is a section called crime mapping. You can pull up different time frames and see all crimes in the city.
