New apartments rumored to be built on the right side of Fourth in this pic, at North Green Street. This should fill in that gaping hole in development and vitality in that area.
I have visited the West End of W-S, and it seems like a cool area. It has nice historic homes, unique older apartments, and some good quality restaurants. Downtown W-S also offers unique apartments in the old Reynolds warehouses. The warehouses seem to offer many true lofts.
Winston-Salem is making some big progress. Now if Greensboro could start to follow suit.
It's a nicely-designed proposed apartment development, but it doesn't appear to be major in the grand scheme of things. And it's not like downtown Greensboro hasn't had announcements for proposed residential developments downtown in recent months.

No, this isn't major in the grand scheme, but is further progress in the right direction.
I don't think Greensboro has had an announcement even at the scale of this project in a while (ADD: Carroll SOB would qualify so there's that). Maybe when the ballpark owners finish assessing their opportunity something big will come of it. The restaurants are nice but I don't see much that moves the needle.
Is their anymore room in downtown, near City view apt complex, or did that complex pretty much eat up the land. I feel like another apt complex like that, should be in that aera!
