My husband and I are really thinking about relocating from Dallas, TX to the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point area. My Husband is a Sous Chef for a Five star hotel and restaurant. I work in the social service field. We make deceit money here in Texas and I was wondering what is the job market and real estate market like in this area. We really love the fact the NC has all four seasons were as Texas, it is always hot! ( No breeze, no opening windows for fresh air, etc.)
\When renting a home, is the deposit expensive, what is the price range for a 3 to 4 bedroom rental property. How easy/hard is it to purchase a home in this area?

Deposit is usually equal to a months rent. 3-4 bedroom would run between $750-$1500 (best place to find rentals is Greensboro Craigslist). It's a buyer's market.

A nice in between area that is greatly developing is the Summerfield/Oak Ridge area near NW Greensboro.
