Stupid Thug (High Point: crime, safety, money)

According to WXII the Zaxby's in High Point was robbed by 3 armed men Thursday morning Jan 15th. Now the funny part; the thug pictured below is pointing a gun. Notice anything out of order?

The quality of that photo leaves much to the imagination. I don't agree with your interpretation that it's a pistol with the slide locked back.
