Train museum, visiting the undisturbed mass burial at the Vetrans cemetary, 10.000 unidentified body's rest in that sole mass grave, just standing near it will give you eiry goose bumps and yet you feel extremely at peace at the same time, it's an interesting experience.

I worked in Salisbury from 2007-2013. Salisbury has been steadily on an upswing. It is growing slowly, which is good.
As far as jobs, it would really depend on the field. A lot of people commute to Concord or even Charlotte.
