Have guests in town and we were thinking of heading to Winston Salem on Saturday. What are the key things to do and see while there for a day? Thanks!

A horse-drawn carriage ride around Old Salem might be a good place to start.

A trip to Little Richards BBQ on Country Club Rd. for some of the best BBQ in the state.

The Craftsman's Classic Arts & Crafts Show at the Greensboro Coliseum.

The Food Lion Auto Fair at Lowes Motor Speedway.

Lived there for 5 years. My favorite place to take visitors was Renolda Village, http://www.reynoldavillage.com/

It is a nice senic area with cute shops to check out. But the best feature is the large lawn in front of the Reynolda house perfect for picnics & playing frisbee. The formal rose garden & nature trails are nice as well.

Old Salem is usually something visitors like to see as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about Reynolda Village

I also used to enjoy just driving around through the Wake Forest campus. I think that Hanes Mall is one of the best malls around anywhere.

Tanglewood Park is an option also. Horseback riding, golf, the lakes, playgrounds, picnic areas etc. It is beautiful this time of year. Have fun!
