We are moving to Winston-Salem or Greensboro next year. I think our lives will be complete if we have sushi and Starbucks in our lives. I am a Starbucks junkee and do not like the other chains out there. In the last year or so, my husband and I tried sushi for the first time. We have now been out to eat it at least 20 times and are addicted. Please tell me we can find our caffeine fix and sushi out there. Thanks

We live in the Raleigh area, and Harris Teeter grocery stores have Starbucks inside of their stores. Harris Teeter is all over NC, so I imagine the same would be true where you're moving....

Dunno about Starbucks....(I tend to stray away from chains)...but if you're interested in an independent, locally-owned coffee house, I've heard terrific things about Chelsee's Cafe on Trade Street, downtown WinstonSalem. They double as an art-gallery too.

Lol. Same story for my wife and I. We are hopefully moving to either G'boro or W-S next year AND we just tried sushi within the last six months for the first time. We can't get enough of it! Same goes for Starbucks and coffee houses in general.

I live in Greensboro and there are a few Starbucks around here that I'm aware of. And maybe even some that I am not aware of. lol

I know for sure there's one inside the mall. And it seems like there's one on Battleground Ave. I don't remember where else I may have seen them. I don't drink coffee.

I also don't eat sushi (or Asian food at all), so I can't help you there. Sorry. We do have a couple Japanese restaurants (Arigato on Holden Rd. & Kubuto), but I've never been to them. So I don't know if they have sushi. Sorry.

Thank you everyone for your replies. It sounds like I will have no problem finding my coffee. But, still, anyone out there know of good sushi anywhere? I am really looking for more along the line of sushi bars rather than "sit-down" japanese restaurants.

There's a Starbucks on Stratford Road (Hanes Mall area) in W-S. It's in the general area we like to visit. There's a strip mall (very nicely done. they didn't mow down the trees to build it so you can find shade in the summer if you are lucky) that contains a great bookstore, a pet shop that sponsors pet fairs on Saturdays, a wonderful bakery, and an organic food store. Nearby is Harris Tweeter and Krispy Kreme HQ. I think there might be sushi place there. I know there's a Japanese restaurant. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a sushi bar along there somewhere. Between Hanes Mall Blvd and where Stratford runs into I-40, the area has become something of a Restaurant Row, with eateries of many nationalities.
