Personally, I love it (as long as I have A.C. in my car, that is)! The winter weather always makes me feel so down in the dumps, but the sunshine and heat make me feel refreshed and happy
Hi. I'm considering relocating in a couple of years to the Greenville- Spartanburg area and this is my first post on this forum.
Is this weather typical summer weather, 94 degree high with heat index into the 100's?
One of my reasons for wanting to move is the weather where I live. I'm in very southern Louisiana, and our summer weather is highs in the 90's and heat index into the 100's daily from the beginning of June through the end of September. And I just can't take it anymore. I love the outdoors, playing sports, running, hiking, biking, and swimming, but down here in the summer, I just can't enjoy anything when I'm instantly dripping the minute I get outdoors. I would like to live somewhere a little cooler and maybe drier, and I'd even enjoy a little winter in exchange.

Or... in the house
Right now I am cold wrapped around a blanket, however once it starts getting hotter our A/C has been acting up lately and it will get a little warm :/

Hi there...!
Welcome to the forums...! I just started posting like yesterday so I am a n00b
The weather around here is the same way you describe your weather down there. It will get hot and humid in the summer time. It gets really, really hot in the summer time, but what annoys me the most is the freaking humidity. Winter can get cold although it doesn't snow as much as it does in North Carolina and the mountains are like really close.
Personally, I like California weather the most. It is awesome in the spring/summer time... not too hot and definitely not humid.
In my experience living here for the past few years, yes, it sure does get hot and humid sometimes, but it's not like that constantly for the whole entire summer, and I've never experienced it getting quite as humid as a South Florida summer.

Too bad that cost of living in Cali is so high
You are right about Florida though. My Florida Facebook friends are constantly whining about having the AC on in November or December...

No, it is not typical for this time of year...which is why we are complaining about it. But if you're looking for a bigger change in weather, you might need to go further north.

I totally agree! We have four distinct seasons here, unlike much of the rest of the South. It's just been unusually hot & humid the past few weeks - we've been stuck in a weather pattern where the wind was coming from the southwest (out of the Gulf), bringing moisture-rich air. We do have spells of that during the summer, but overall, the humidity is FAR less than the Gulf Coast (where I grew up).
Well, it's pouring again, lots of thunder boomers. A little hail. We've been getting rain almost daily here. Our neighborhood is just north of Wade Hampton - Chick Springs/Stone Lake area. I'm lovin' the weather. I was out this afternoon and it was 90, but not overly humid. Do different areas in G'Ville really vary that much weather wise?
