Trying to get a feel as to the diversity of radio stations you can pick up over the air in the Greenville area. I might be oversimplifying but it seems there is an abundance of religous stations and country music stations. Any selection of AM/talk radio and soft-rock radio stations?
Entercom owns several different stations in a wide variety of formats.....Entercom Communications Corp. - Stations Click on the map dot for Greenville, and it will list all their stations here. I listen to Magic 98.9 all day in my office.
I wouldn't describe the Greenville radio market as slanted towards country and Christian in any way I can think of. There are two main country stations (WSSL and WESC) just as there are two main soft-rock stations (102.5 and 98.9). Plus really every other major type of station I believe.

I agree with this. It's not slanted toward country or religious programming at all.
We only listen to satellite radio and our iPods. I love Greenville but I not a fan of its radio stations. When I go to visit my family I always look forward to reaching the spot on I-85 where I can pick up Atlanta radio stations.
It's not slanted any way except boring. Srsly Greenville radio stations are nothing to write home about. They had one station (one of the Bob Steve guy name stations) that I loved because they "played everything" and it disappeared. I don't know what's up with this market but nothing lasts very long that's different. 101.1 is good but I tire of it after a while. I liked the guy named station because it varied and was never boring.

The station you're thinking of was 'Charlie' 106.3 and they played everything!! It's now talk radio but that works for me...
Anybody remember the syndicated Nina Blackwood 80's radio show that used to air in the evenings on 93.7 (I think)? That was so cool. She does a great show.
