Big ad in last weeks paper said they were closing and concentrating on the other businesses they have. Last time we were there it was not crowded.

I'm not surprised. Went there about 4 years ago and had the best Kobe Steak in my life.

Went there again this year for dinner, and it wasn't any better than Outback, actually worse. Paid a lot more too.

I think it had been run by someone else for a while before it closed.

Stax's Peppermill had a nice run. I seem to remember it being considered the best/nicest restaurant in Greenville in the late 80's and early 90's. That should show you how far Greenville's dining scene has come in the last 20 years or so! We are definitely a foodie city now!
