They will be offering a croque-monsieur/croque madame sandwich, something I recently tried at nosedive and really enjoyed. it looks like they will be trying to incorporate beer into the food as well, chicken marinated and/or cooked in Flemish(sour) ale, there was also something incorporating a lambic(fruit) beer, those are the main things that stuck out to me, although everything looked delicious!

Yummmm! I love croque monsieurs......best when straight from a sidewalk cafe in Paris, but I'm sure they'll be wonderful here, given the European background of the place. Looking forward to the opening.

Maybe The Trappe Door will be a good surrogate for La Madeleine; I'd KILL for one of those in Greenville! Yeah, I know they're 2 different animals, but STILL!

The Trappe Door triggered thoughts of a white Belgian Beer I haven't been able to find where I live. It is a ladies beer that most men like - which I think is quite remarkable. I don't know your state liquor laws but TJ's in St. Louis and Chicago sells it. It's a little pricey, but not quite like buying Dom. .
