Not sure if others may agree, but even though I'm not a long time poster on this forum, though I have made my dent of posts on it, I see the same questions repeated over and over and over again, as I am sure many of you have as well.

Has anyone ever asked there to be a sticky thread of EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE GREENVILLE AREA, AND THEN SOME. Try to keep all the questions that keep asked over and over again within a thread, or two, and keep them at the top of the forum.

Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

If you could list q & a that you'd like to see on this type of thread, one you see asked over and over again, what would it/they be???

For instance, Birmingham has a sticky thread titled MOVING TO BIRMINGHAM

//www.city-data.com/forum/birmi...ful-links.html

Atlanta has a sticky thread titled Moving to atlanta soon? Read this first

//www.city-data.com/forum/atlan...ead-first.html

Many other cities on this website have something similar. I think the Greenville area forum can benefit from this type of thread and it can only benefit those who are looking for the same answers that keep being asked time and time again. Those interested in this area could be steered to this thread for answers to most questions.

Has this ever been tried on here before?

Yes, something like this is long overdue. We definitely need to address common misconceptions in addition to providing helpful hints for those planning a visit or move to the Greenville metro area. With all of the knowledgeable and enthusiastic people here, I am confident that we can make the final product a great one!

We need everyone's imput to get this going. Post those questions you've seen asked time and time again and if you know the answer(s) or a great website that the reader can be guided to for the answer, please add it so they can be put together in to one great thread.

Who's (are) the moderator(s) for this forum, they would have to be the one to make it a sticky. Does anyone have any suggesionst how best to accomplish this goal?

One of the questions I've seen asked many times that I personally have given direction on is CRIME STATISTICS and have directed people to the GREENVILLE COUNTY CRIME INCIDENT MAPPING SYSTEM

Greenville County Sheriff's Office Home Page

They also have OFFENDER WATCH to see if there are any sex offenders in your area, or the area you are looking to move to.

Greenville County Sheriff's Office OffenderWatch? sex offender management, mapping and email alert program=

The Greenville County Police Department Site

Greenville Police Department

What else could be added to someone asking about crime in Greenville County??
