The Spinners is a very active group, but most of their organization concentrates on road biking, but many members ride both styles of bikes. There are several nearby primary locations for mountain biking: Paris Mountain (great for after work rides, but closed to bikes on Saturday), Croft Park / Dairy Ridge in Spartanburg, Issaqueena Forest in Clemson, and Pleasant Ridge Park (trails coming soon). Northern Greenville county would definitely be the place to live for convenient access to all the NC biking areas as well.

Otherwise, Upstate Sorba is focused on mountain biking, but is not as large and active as the Spinners.
