A new survey says employers in Greenville, Mauldin and Easley expect to hire “at a vigorous pace” in the second quarter, giving the region the second strongest employment outlook in the nation.

The latest report, prepared by Manpower Inc., a workforce company, said one of every five companies interviewed in the Greenville area, or 21 percent, plans to hire more workers between April and June. Manpower’s survey, released today, said only 1 percent of the companies interviewed expects to cut staff.

Doggone - you beat me to it again!

Another sign of the strength of our local economy!

However with oil/gas and other commodities' prices rising sharply, I fear that any growth we've managed to get coming out of the recession will stall & reverse - here and everywhere else. NOT trying to be a wet blanket here, but just observing things going on in the markets, etc. is not very confidence-inspiring for the durability of our recovery.
