My family and I are considering moving to Greenville. We have one daughter, and come from a big city. Reason being, is that we are looking for some place more family friendly, clean, good schools, affordable housing. Can anyone give me info concerning the current job market in greenville, schools (elementary, etc), and housing? Any info would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Schools - There are some good schools in Greenville.

Housing
- Both real estate and apartments are affordable in Greenville. Still possible to find apartment rentals in the $600 - $800 range there (depending on amenitites & communities). If buying a home, also very affordable.

Jobs
- Many low wage paying jobs (retail, call centers, manufacturing, restaurants etc.). Finding a livable wage job in the area quite difficult. If your background is manufacturing there are plenty of manufacturing companies there. Keep in mind though.....most of them only hire through staffing agencies and keep people temporary forever. Make sure you have a job offer before moving. I lived there a few years.....saw how the job market is....moved back home.

Family friendly - Greenville is family friendly.

Clean - Greenville is clean.

Good luck to you and your family....
