I have a question about the BMW plant in Duncan. I heard they have their own on-site eye doctor / ophthalmology facility. Is it part of BMW itself or do they hire an outside company and if the latter, who do they use? I can't seem to find any contact info online.

Walgreens operates the Family Medical Center at BMW.

The Family medical center offers Dr Care, Pharmacy, Eye Doctor, Dentist and Physical Therapy. It's all outsourced. I am not sure about that Walgreens statement though......we've gotten prescriptions from the pharmacy, and there's been nothing to indicate it is operated by Walgreens. I'd have to dig deeper and I don't have time right now.

It's also in the BMW Daily News but I can't link you to that.

Walgreens has been the sole pharmacy provider at BMW since 2005.

Well, it is unless its sub-par and they are forced to use that to get their discounted rate.

I've been a few times and so far it's great. Also our rate everywhere else didn't go up, we just get an even lower rate at the AFHC. So there doesn't really seem to be any disadvantage from what I've seen. I've only used it for general visits and pharmacy fillings, as I already have a Dentist I like and I buy my glasses online.

It's optional to use it. Co-pays did not increase for going to any other in-network Dr. Prices are generally cheaper at the Family Health Center. We take our children to our normal Pediatrician, but since neither DH nor I had a Dr, we've used the Family Health Center (and paid $0 for that visit!) and the service was great. Took DS15 to the Family Health Center for his sports physical for $5. We've not used the Dentist, as we have a great dentist that we want to continue to use. We've not used the Eye Dr, but will when the time comes. We use the Pharmacy, can't really compare the rates as we've only used this Pharmacy for the last two years, and very infrequently as prescripts are not a normal thing for us.
