I got in on a deal a few weeks ago for a $1.50 for a year subscription to Garden & Gun. Thought the name sounded really interesting! Just got my first issue today and there's a 10 page spread on Greenvlle. I checked and it's not online yet but maybe they'll put it up in a bit. I'm dying to visit your lovely city again and would love to make it my new home!
It's a magazine. I'd never heard of it either. It's about the south. Thought I'd give it a try for $1.50 year subscription. My first issue came today and it had an article on Greenville called The Sweet Life in Greenville. I hope they'll put the issue online. Garden & Gun: Soul of the South
It's a good magazine. Definitely targets wealthy southerners. Lots of Lilly Pulitzer and Southern Tide ads, mixed with modern living, travel, the finer things in life and articles on fox hunts, grilling, antiques, etc.
The article mentions how liberals and conservatives are getting along just fine together in Greenville, how Greenville has room for both.
Very cool.
That's one of the reasons I fell in love with Greenville. As a gay men, my partner and I have friends here all over the spectrum.....liberal, conservative, religious, non religious.
