Noticed some more clearing on 153 in Powdersville this time further down past the Wallgreens and BILO.. looks like two areas across from each other any news on what's going on there?

A new expanded Hickory Point behind the current gas station. Not sure what's going on the other side of Highway 153 but wouldn't be suprised if it's QuickTrip.

That may be true, but apparently QT has plans to build along S.C. 153 as well.

not sure why either Spinx or QT wouldn't want to be closer to the interstate to get all the interstate traffic. Only thing I can think is that this would be the only gas station on that side of 153 so could get a bunch of business from people heading from Easley to the Interstate that don't want to have to cross lanes for gas.

That seems like a reasonable explanation.

Actually, it's QuickPoint that took the Pumpers building not QuikTrip.

As g-man said, Quick Point is now the name of the station across from the two auto dealerships at Powdersville Road. Hickory Point is building a new (replacement) store at their 153/Hood Road location.
