Does anyone know why Liquid Highway on Main Street closed? Was it planned? Like with many of the businesses that close in downtown, it seemed very sudden.

I spoke to some of the employees on the last day it was open. They said that they couldn't afford the rent anymore, but I don't know anything more specific than that.
I was very sad to see them go...

There was one in Mauldin, but it closed quite a while ago (now there's a Japanese place there).... Any other Liquid Highway locations still open?

The one on East North St at Pleasantburg is still open- unless they abruptly closed in the last 24 hours! I think that's the original one.

The one on Mills Avenue across from the Lofts is still open. I believe there are 3-4 locations that are still open around Greenville.

The one off Halton Road near Haywood Mall is open, but the one next to Country Boys on Woodruff Road is changing to Smoothie King.

That's very disappointing to hear. I love LH, and it's getting more difficult all the time to buy coffee there. With that said, the last time we visited the downtown location, service was bad and they ran out of what my wife wanted to get.

The quality of the coffee at the Old Spartanburg Rd. location went downhill very fast. I used to visit them daily after going to the gym, but their product became undrinkable. It was worse than gas station coffee. I really don't know what happened. I like to support local businesses over national chains, but when it gets to a point of wasting money....well, you know.

Liquid Highway in the last few years had big ambitions for rapid expansion. I guess that didn't work out so well. I hate to see businesses close, too, but when the quality of the product decreases, people will go elsewhere. It's simple.
