I am about to place my autistic child in Springbrook Behavioral Health program there is a 9-12 mo treatment facuility there. I am hoping for the best but have seen no reviews or anything on them. Has anyone in the area dealt with the residential program there? He is going to be in the home for 9-12 yo boys. Can anyone tell me anything about this place? I am not near here, yet i will be moving closer due to the circumstances. This treatment place is in Travelers Rest SC.

My 8-year old autistic (high on the spectrum) son sees Dr. Fisher from Springbrook as an outpatient. I can't speak for the residential program, but I can tell you that he has made a lot of breakthroughs in the six months or so he's been seeing Dr. Fisher. My son still has several challenges, but the behavioral and medicinal changes enacted by Dr. Fisher have made him less violent, better able to perform at school, and happier.

My child is high on the spectrum and extrememly hyperactive and cognitively impared but violent as well. I am keeping a smile on my face tho knowing he has done good in someones life. OMG I pray he does the samer in my sons life. Thank you!!

Sure thing. Best wishes for your child's time at Springbrook. Feel free to PM me if you ever need anything. My wife and I always love to talk with other parents who can understand our frustrations.

Default My 16 yr old is heading to SpringBrook

HI

Our 16 yr old is heading to SpringBrook and he has autism. He also suffers from PTS from the teasing that happened in middle school. Before that he never acted out at school. Now he is almost 200lbs and he is unsafe when he melts down. We hate doing this but it is not safe for our family otherwise. I pray that the place has good staff and a great program.

I know you posted this awhile ago. What was your experience like there?
