I just found out that the Plaid Pelican restaurant has closed its doors. Had plans to go there so I am glad they are refunding my gift certificate! Sad to see any business close.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd never been, but had heard about it and was in that shopping center 2 weeks ago and went by it. Good to hear your getting a refund. I've had a place close before my gc expired as well and got a refund too, thankfully.

Many Plaid Pelican Gift Certificates were exchanged at our party last night. How do these folks get a refund. I am one of the givers.

Have never eaten there and honestly don't even know where the restaurant is located.

It was in the Fresh Market shopping center at South Pleasantburg/Antrim/Laurens Rd.

We tried to go last week and saw their sign. Never got to try the place...

Must be a fairly new business then seeing how the shopping center is only a few years old. Never even noticed it was there. I would have liked to try it before they closed also.

Sounds like they should have stayed put. Spent all of that money to relocate only to close. Sad.

Sad thing is that the food and service were great the 3 times we ate there. Heads up to The Red Bowl Chinese Bistro in the same strip mall. Excellent!

Default Plaid pelican

Sorry ruvidu I just saw your post. I had actually purchased from restaurant.com & they emailed me about the refund. I don't know how to get one from anywhere else. Sorry. I was looking forward to eating there.
