And now that I actually read the article, in this case, it sounds like they want $4 extra per square foot for the tax, insurance and maintenance, I guess, but it's an odd way to put it.
Thanks. I figured it had to be something like that, but i'd never seen it listed in that way.

Wow.. That hasn't been there that long, and they spent a pretty good amount of money (or at least someone did) to rehab that building that it's in.. Which was the old Walmart.

I am surprised more of them don't close. They are not what they used to be. They used to sell true closeouts and discounted liquidated merch similar to Ollies. IMO, now they are no different from other discount stores with a large selection of stuff you find at DG or Family Dollar. Way too many of those stores.

Many dollar stores (Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar) and discount stores (Big Lots, Ollie's, and Rose's) have over-saturated the dollar/discount retail segment. The field of participants are changing as inferior participants are acquisition targets or are closing stores.

Big Lots is down to three stores in Greenville County. Are any in danger of closing?

It opened mid January last year. I don't understand why that one is closing.. It does good business.

But yet they are building a new one in SVL, which already has one, right, and a big store??

BTW, its GRAY Court, not Grey Court.
