On this website, the property tax for Greenville is listed as 0.7%. But on Realtor.com, on the property histories, the taxes listed are closer to 33%.There are homes for sale for about $120,000, with an appraisal value of under $3,000, and property tax of $1,500. Can anyone from Greenville explain this a little bit, please? Are property taxes outrageous? Is one of these web sites wrong?

I live in Spartanburg county and purchased my home for $135k. My taxes are just over $1k each year. I am sure Greenville County's taxes are somewhat higher but I can't imagine they would be too much higher. But as myrc60 said, you can check at that website to see the exact amounts. You can do the same for Spartanburg county at www.spartanburgcounty.org and just look at the tax assessor's section.
