The last Home Show we went to a few weeks back, to me, was small and very disappointing. Before I splurge and buy this deal I want to know if it's going to be worth even going.
This says there's 300 vendors - has anyone been to this particular show before. I'm more interested in it for the gardening part. Can anyone who's gone in the past to this (if it's even been done before) tell me if they thought it was worth going to? I know there were not 300+ vendors at the last show, so I'm wondering if this is a lot bigger show.
Thanks for the reply. I think it's more of a home show than what I'm looking for, which would be more gardening. No list of nurseries or gardening shops. You would think local gardening places would attend something like this - there's landscapers listed, but I'm looking for plants.

Oh well....
We went to this last year and were also disappointed - IMO it should really be called an "Home Improvement Show". Besides the landscapers, there really wasn't anything for the gardener.

Did get a lot of candy, though.
I agree. It's really to get ideas and make contacts with home improvement contractors. There's no gardening at all. Just some landscapers selling their services. Durant Ashmore was there last year selling a few plants but that was it. It would be great if there was a cool one for actual gardeners. The Southern Spring Show in Charlotte is much more geared to that.

Hmmmmm, that would sure be nice, wouldn't it! Wonder if something like that could be planned for one of the seasons. I know 26 people in our garden group that would definitely be interested in going tosomething like that, and I'm sure there's a lot of locals who would also be interested. I may have to put my thinking cap on...

Yes, a show where gardeners could share ideas, buy plants and cool gardening gadgets. Maybe a few landscapers (contractors who do ponds, walls, that sort of thing.)

I know this isn't the same, but there is a local garden group on Meet-up.com with a degrees of gardeners from beginners to those with degrees. I've learned that under my black thumb there is actually a bit of green under there!

Thanks for the info! I'll check it out. There is an Herb Festival in May in Asheville that's good to go to too.
