What upstate websites do you frequent?

Which are your favorite?

I was thinking about organizing and launching a site for the upstate that's more for the 'fast paced' and short attention span people of today. Got ties to some people who own large blog networks and previously worked for Yahoo to advise me + years of experience. I think I could do something great.

I'd like to see if people are already browsing sites or not.

Also thought about generalizing the site and being 'South Carolina news'

Once a day to glance over the headlines. I don't generally go much deeper on their site unless the headline is of particular interest..

"Local" websites:

Meetup.com
greenvillecvb.com
wyff4.com
foxcarolina.com

Ever since Greenville News started charging, I haven't gone there much. (I backdoor from Google News sometimes if a headline looks interesting)

Not at all. They are a dying company, with mostly mediocre content. Their stories aren't worth paying for. Not even close.

Plus, I have met a few of their employees and have found them to be journalist hacks who pride themselves on "open-minded" discussion yet do nothing more than argue their flimsy left wing positions. I don't have time for that.
