When is the last time you seen or heard of a commissary at a major VA hospital? A very small BX/shopette yes, but nothing more.
The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center (the VA hospital in Charleston) has a commissary. It has a random collection of things, from the standard food and soda to stuff like clothes and electronics. It's small, but a lot of stuff is packed in there. It is inside the hospital, on the first floor.

A military commissary is equivalent to your local Publix. Sillyvilians
I didn't even know there was one here. My friend's husband has to drive to Columbia right now for his care. Sometimes he has to just put off his care because he doesn't have the money to drive out there. I think it is very unfair for our veterans. Greenville is between Spartanburg, Pickens and Anderson so I believe that will be a convenient location to reach the maximum amount of people.
