How is their pizza? Is it really NY style and taste like it? Large slices with lots of flavor and cheese? Greasy? I better stop it's getting me hungry. LOL There is a Groupon for it today.

From what I've heard (still haven't tried it yet) Tony's New York Pizza on Haywood Rd gets good reviews in that regard.

I've had Peppino's and I thought it was good; certainly worth 50% off! And just a note...that location they label Pleasantburg is actually Mauldin's Miller Rd.

We actually ate at Tony's off Haywood. The pizza was good but I've had better. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for clarifying that. I think we may just try it.

There is another pizza thread in here somewhere that mentioned Jon's in Mauldin. It's at Holland Rd and Butler. I've heard really good things about here on C-D and elsewhere but I haven't had the money to try it yet.

I saw that. I definitely want to try that place from all the great reviews.

big slices, thin foldable crust, definitely close to ny style. My wife and I had a pie there at the one on woodruff, thought it was pretty good pizza

We ate pizza from Peppino's and it was delicious. It had thin crust, just enough sauce and plenty of flavor. Definitely would recommend it. We'll have to try Jon's next.

The Boston Pizzeria on Woodruff Rd., across the street from Kohls, is the best pizza you'll sink your tooth into.
