The Powdersville area in northeastern Anderson County is an excellent community for a diverse group of residents, despite its lack of local municipal representation. It is generally very safe and quiet, yet within a reasonably short distance from a large hospital campus, vibrant downtown Greenville, and most of the Upstate via I-85.

I second the Powdersville suggestion. Schools are good, housing is reasonably priced with plenty of land, and it's convenient to pretty much everything.
