Check out Smiley's Acoustic Cafe. Good music. Good food. Good times.

No classic rock, though.

Thanks. Wow. They stop playing early here early. 6 to 9 is when most of it goes on. I hope it isn't geared towards the really geriatric types. Is this where the Baby boomers go?

The menu looks good.

I was thinking more in terms of just a place to get a drink and listen to music...not having to go for dinner too. Is there anything like that?

Maybe I should have said "all ages". What about "the Handlebar"? It says it is a "listening room". Has anyone been there recently? Do they have anything interesting going on weeknights ever?

Also are there any Coffee Houses with entertainment/concerts?

Here are your main live music+food+drinks options in downtown:
  • The Handlebar
  • The Bohemian
  • Brown Street Club
  • Coffee Underground
  • Corner Pocket Taproom
  • Chicora Alley
  • Smoke On The Water
  • The Velo Fellow
  • Smiley's Acoustic Café
The city provides numerous outdoor concert series downtown as well during the warm months. Other downtown restaurants and bars provide live music as well.

Thanks!!!Will there be anything outdoors in Mid October? There should be as far as I'm concerned---until performing times drop below 55 degrees. Greenville has historically averaged in the 70's for highs but also reached 90s and averaged 50s for lows abut also reached 30's.

The Fall For Greenville food/music/entertainment festival is scheduled during the second weekend in October and it includes several outdoor stages.

Check out the handlebar on Tuesday evenings. I believe they have a little bluegrass jam thing they do in the bar area. I've never gone to so I'd check out the website.
