Okay, so, we all know that Mr. Eddie Moore, District 3, Anderson County, has had more than his share of...'blimishes' on his record. Things come to mind such as beating his wife, hitting a lady with a car who died on scene, being told he can no longer claim to be an engineer...since he isn't one, running as Republican after not being able to win as a Democrat, and just the usual not able to say something without it being a lie. It's almost come to be expected, especially in Anderson County, that if you're in county government, then something is wrong with you mentally, and you possibly need a free ticket to Patrick B Harris. However, it seems the one person on council who gives Cindy Wilson a run for her money in lunocracy has kicked up the notch a few levels.

Deposition: County council member Moore was in KKK » Anderson Independent Mail

It comes as no surprise that he claims to have been a sheriff's deputy at the time (despite being a teenager at the time) and working for the FBI as a spy (yeah...sure), and REALLY comes as no surprise that he talks out of both sides of his mouth when asked if he ever referred to a former, black, administrator as a n***er and the like, and instead of denying it, claims he 'cant recall'.

So, does anybody else have any thoughts about this? Any ideas as to what might be next in the list of lies and controversy...

Or will we wait until AFTER his most likely re-election next month?

...Really? Nothing at all? How about now that it's started to reach more of a national level?

Linky is broken (Great 404 message though! )

I don't live in Anderson County, but I find this pretty disturbing.

Eddie Moore, South Carolina County Councilman, Admits Past KKK Membership

She must have not got the 'l' hyperlinked...I can't imagine why that still wouldn't link you to the correct site though.

This is really sad for Anderson for something like this to come out and to reach the national news. The only good thing I can see out of it, is maybe the people of his district will wake up and vote him out. Believe me, this is only but one blimish amongst many on his list. I don't live there so can't vote for or against him in this election, but I throw all my support into Mr. Mitchell Cole...the district could probably do better, but they're certainly doing A LOT worse now.

Btw, great for finding this upstate!

It doesn't work because the Huffington Post webmaster hasn't set up the server to resolve *.htm as *.html. That is, the two forms are interchangeable only if you've told the server to consider them interchangeable.
