Too bad they are not going to use SPUIs. I wonder what their reasoning was...cost maybe?
With all the traffic disruption this will cause, they should have taken the time to really fix the two Woodruff Road interchanges. This fixes the 85/385 interchange but does nothing for Woodruff Road.
Woodruff Road really isn't that bad. People just need to learn that there are seven days in a week not one when they can shop.
Yeah, everyone can just tell their employers they need weekdays off to go shopping. Sounds like a plan!
The addition of even more stores on Woodruff ain't gonna help nothin as far as traffic goes.
I avoid Woodruff rd. like the plague, with the exception of Whole Foods. But it's relatively easy to get in and out of there, at least when people don't block the intersection.
I think what would help is for the cops to just stand at some of the intersections over there and issue tickets to all the people who end up in the intersection when the light turns red. Easy pickin's.

It is not cost. Both Woodruff Road interchanges are two separate projects from I-85/I-385. The focus is improving the interchange of two major regional interstates.
