Looking for advice on builders and lots/communities in the listed areas. Price range is 170,000-195,000. We looked at Ryan's homes off of state rd. in TR. loved the location, model home and the options in our price range. The only lot they have left was not ideal (small yard, huge hill, non desirable location in neighborhood). Checked out their Taylor community (love the proximity to lake Robinson and easy access to wade Hampton, TR and Greenville)...Did not like the neighborhood as the houses are even closer together than TR (saw people in back yard and couldn't even tell which yard was theirs).

Suggestions on neigborhoods and building companies, or companies to avoid.

Thanks!

tj28 - let me know if you find anything. I live near Lake Robinson and within next 2-3 years we're looking to move to a bigger location. So I'm always keeping an 'eye' out on builders and areas

I will let you know when I have strong suggestions... Hopefully others will add their opinion. What's your opinion on being near the lake. How could a couple enjoy it without owning a boat? Do they have have water activity rentals set up during summer months? I'm thinking of purchasing a kayak or rowboat. Is swimming allowed?

I would love to live on Lake Robinson and it would kill me if I couldn't swim in it. Boats and kayaks are allowed and boats have to be battery operated I think and 12HP max. Since LR is a watershed for Greenville county. Supposed to be good fishing there...

During the summer you see kayaks and canoes out there but alas no swimming. (don't get me started on all the geese that live/poop in that lake..lol).

I found rosewood but have not visited their neighborhood yet. Any first hand experiences out there with rosewood?

My husbands looking for open water swimming...any suggestions? At least we can take a kayak out into the lake! It's gorgeous out there.

Keep the suggestions and experiences with the area coming please
