That list above does not have the Pelham Rd Cinemas (torn down) and the movie theater (torn down) that used to exist on the lot on Wade Hampton between WHHS and Taco Bell. Also their was the Plitt Cinema inside Greenville Mall that opened with the mall in 1978. I remember seeing Superman (Christopher Reeve) there as a child when it first opened. It was located in the mall entrance next to Montgomery Ward when Wards was just a one story structure.

For those who frequent the Coach House Resturant in Simpsonville in their lobby are older photos not only of Simpsonville but several set in early fifties showing a girl/guy paying to go into the ROYAL theater.

Back in the 90's Coffee Underground had a small theater room that showed movies on weekends. I think it was on Friday nights. That's the only place I can think of on Main Street during that time period where movies were shown.

It's crazy they had movie threatres downtown when not much going on down there and now that the downtown is vibrant they have none. but I guess they weren't competing with Regal back in the day.

Oh yes there was a movie in downtown Simpsonville. It was located right close to The Ice Cream Station.
