Just read about this event today to take place in May. Marshall Tucker Band will be playing at the Greer City Park, which is such a pretty park! I also read in the article that a young man from Greer is (currently) on American Idol and made it to Hollywood Week, he too who will be playing at Family Fest.
Greer's Family Fest is improving with their musical entertainment. Having Aaron Tippin last year and Marshall Tucker Band this year is a positive sign forward to getting better known acts in country and rock.
The Marshall Tucker Band back when Toy and Tommy Caldwell were alive and in the band were awesome and top notch. I had every album. Fire on the Mountain in my humble opinion is one of the best albums ever made. "Can't You See" still gets turned up whenever I hear that great song. I lost all interest after the Caldwell boys passed. But what great memories.
