Hello, - I would like to send my children to Powdersville Middle / High schools and will need to find a home to rent as I need to relocate for a job in two weeks. I'm stressing because there is just not enough time to dedicate to finding the perfect home but I do know that I want them to attend this school. I initially started looking in the Greer area for Riverside Middle/High but did not find any homes in my price range in Pelham Falls or Brushy Meadows in this short time frame. I am looking for a community that has children in the same age group as mine (I have a 6th grade boy and 8th grade girl) and would love to rent a 3 bedroom (with bonus room) in the short term until we learn the area. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, figtorflight.. Yes, I have checked the craigslist website but there is nothing available. We also have pomeranian dogs which may pose a problem for renting. I would appreciate if ya'll out there in Powdersville land can provide a listing of communities that cater to families with teens - I have a 6th grade boy and 8th grade girl so finding a community that has this age group would be great.
My best advice for rental home searching is to google "residential property management companies greenville sc" or some similar searches. This is how you find the local mgmt companies that have homes, etc, for rent in the area. They don't always advertise their listings on CL (some do, some don't from what I can tell).
A few I came across in my searching were Marchant, Alpha, Goldsmith, and we happened to rent our townhome (Mauldin) from a company called Absolute Property Services.
Housing is pretty stable in the Powdersville area so there will likely be fewer rentals available than in other areas. It is a pretty small community and most of the subdivisions in Powdersville are going to have a lot of kids - many people specifically move to this area for the schools. Good luck in your search - I live in Powdersville but don't know of any rentals around our neighborhood.
Try heritage trace in piedmont. I lived there, they have three bedroom and its in the schools you want.
