Too bad they are not re-hiring the hundreds of support staff they laid off.

A friend who works at GHS in the IT department. Over the past few months they laid off nearly 40 that he knows of. (I had told him of the announcement after seeing your post...he was surprised.)

When I was watching channel 4 news last night, they changed the number to 485 jobs. Those poor 15 people!

I believe you. My mom works at GHS and she told me that several people in her department got laid off last month.

Thanks. I probably should have been a little more clear in my post, my friend works just in the IT department but he also assumed the numbers were much higher than just his department.

Still overall, it's always good news when you bring in more doctors and nurses.
