Ingle's store 73's expansion and rebuild is in the works. When it begins remains to be seen. Perhaps a replacement will be similar to store 133 in Mills River, North Carolina.

This would have been a great idea prior to the announcement of the future regarding the former Sam's Club, Goody's and Best Buy sites. Not only could Ingle's fulfill a retail section of Verdae, a connecting road over the abandoned railroad from Marketplace Drive to Algonquin Trail would allow more connectivity and a grand entrance to Verdae from Laurens Road.

They need a nice Ingle"s Marketplace store near Woodruff Rd. or Five Forks area. None nearby, but 2 Publix, 2 Bi-Los, and Walmart and Aldi.

Ingle's Markets should have opened two stores on Woodruff Road near East Butler Road and in the Five Forks area 15 to 20 years ago like Bi-Lo and Publix. I am afraid they waited too long and missed out on great sites.

You did mention an Ingle's Marketplace. I know one Marketplace store on record that failed on Woodruff Road (Winn Dixie store 1273). If Kroger acquired Ingle's, then Ingle's Marketplace would not be a distant idea.

I wonder if Ingle's should open a store in Pendleton (Anderson County) or a second store in Seneca (Oconee County).

Maybe not Flour Field, but an Ingle's on South Academy Street at Westfield Street could work. Ingle's usually likes main entrances at signalized intersections, so access to South Academy Street and West Camperdown Way would be beneficial.

Parking through vertical growth would be helpful if Ingle's build a large store on the site.
