That may be the last remaining "disco Ingle's" in the area with the old school 1970's decor. Although an upgrade may be needed, it is sad in a way to see it go.

A facelift is completely different than an expansion or replacement. It is repainting the store inside and out and making minor improvements. Store 203, 410 West Third Street, Gaffney, SC 29340-2569, received a facelift several years ago. Is this the facelift store 29 is receiving?

Likely being Ingle's oldest store in operation without a complete capital investment toward improvement (replacement or expansion), store 29 would be due for a new store. It would be realistic to see a new store with food, pharmacy and fuel in the future.

What's happening with the former Sam's Club, Goody's, and Best Buy sites? I haven't heard or read anything about it.

The big box retail will go away and will be replaced with 30% retail, and the rest will be park green space and space for future residential.

Went by the Mauldin store today and on the Big Lots space is a sign for Miracle Hill Thrift Shop. I'll admit they need the room but I didn't see that move coming.

I cannot doubt Miracle Hill Ministries Thift Store for needing to relocate for additional space. It would not be a logical move for a permanent location when, now possibly if, Ingle's expands.

Ingle's Markets #42 may be better off undergoing a renovation and improvements like store #24, 863 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC 28806-2205. One major improvement at store #24 was the addition of the pharmacy department in November 2006. As the video department at store #42 has closed, the location is very close to adding the pharmacy.

Another improvement that would help store #42 would be vestibules at both entrances/exits. Ingle's store #29, 7616 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673-9652, is the first store in South Carolina to have a vestibule. Ingle's standardized vestibules within the past decade in new stores and select existing stores.

Ingle's Markets #42 is coming up for and will be receiving a complete remodel.

The pharmacy department will be going up next to the cafe where the video department was previously located. The video department closed, all fixtures removed and extra sales floor space created. This will be identical to the remodeled Ingle's Markets #24, 863 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC 28806-2205.

The store is unlikely to have an Ingle's Gas Express. There are many underground gas lines underneath the parking lot along West Butler Road.

Several Cliffs communities nearby and underestimated growth is enough for a supermarket to be constructed and opening in the future.

Ingle's Markets presently owns 24.84 acres on two sites at the northeast corner of United States 25 and South Carolina 11 in Travelers Rest.

I am unaware of Ingle's plans to construct and open a new store here in the near future. I will not doubt the immediate area will grow and needs for food, fuel and pharmacy will develop.

Ingle's Markets purchased Moonville Plaza from Moonville Plaza LLC on 8 May 2009. The site has 15.081 estimated acres.

Moonville Plaza LLC owns 16.108 estimated acres on the adjacent site on Piedmont Golf Course Road behind Ingle's.

If Ingle's Markets replaces store #29, 7616 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673-9652, they have the room to build the new store onsite behind the existing store.
