This happened almost overnight - I'm not sure if it was due to so many days of extreme cold or too much rain? Although even with all the rain from last year they never turned yellow.

So do I cut them completely back or will they turn back?

Looks like they got nipped by the cold in the night when temps plummeted.

I'm afraid they are dead.

Sago palms aren't really cold-hardy here. And when it got down into the single-digits, they could not handle that.

They can join ours in a little ceremony by the curb.

I wonder if they can be saved if cut back? Could there still be some life left in the trunk? I still see some green in the stems down by the trunk.

Couldn't hurt to try!

I was frankly looking for an excuse to dig ours up. They were here when we moved in, and just seemed out of place to me.

We had another groups of plants seemingly die all the way back after this recent cold snap, but I'm not 100% sure what they are. Some little shrubbery things.

Am going to try cutting them. They were here when we moved in and like most everything they planted they're getting too big for where they are.
