Was wondering what international style markets may be in the general area that I've yet to discover.

I found myself in Inman the other day and saw the sign for SweetCo. and turned around to check it out. Great array of Russian foods. Tried some homemade savory pie thing that smelled devine and was quite tasty, and a piece of tiramisu, which is not like the tiramisu I love, but very good nonetheless. Had to stop myself from trying to go back and buy another. Lots of unusual sausage type meats. A huge array of candy. Homemade cakes. For a tiny place, pretty packed. Worth a visit. Will be going back for sure.

I know there's the Middle Eastern grocery store on Pleasantburg, actually two if you want to count Pita House since they do carry groceries.

What other places might be out there? I went to a Latin/Mexican one near my home that I've passed a million times in the past. Came to find one of my FAVORITE candies is sold there, (European) and cheap compared to everywhere else I've been able to find it. Would never have guessed!!!

Will be going to the Farmers Market in Atlanta this weekend, (been there before, haven't made it through the entire place yet!) but would like to find more stores locally that may have some interesting foods not easily found in the common grocery stores.

TIA for any input.

There are several Asian markets. My favorites are Oriental Imports on Laurens Rd and Saigon market on Wade Hampton. There's also an Asian Market at 30 Orchard. A very large and clean Indian market, Radha, is at 9 Hendrix Dr, next door to the new Greyhound Station. I am very impressed with all the Latin markets here but the largest is La Unica on White Horse Road and Blue Ridge Dr. Unfortunately, no Italian Delis here

A tiny "European market" just opened on U.S. 29 adjacent to Apollo's House of Pizza in the westside of Spartanburg.

LOL! I just came on here to post about the place. I found it quite by accident driving down 29 this afternoon. Its the same owners as the place found in Inman the other day. Nice little place.
