Bojangle's will relocate from its present location at Boiling Springs Center to the northwest corner of Highway 9 and Farm Lake Road, adjacent to the future Aldi #94.

Default Burger King #8869, 1706 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, South Carolina 29316-5123

Burger King #8869, located at 1706 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, South Carolina 29316-5123, has closed.

I am not surprised by the closing.

I have witnessed several concerns that persuaded me to take my business elsewhere. First, the drive through was bad. Several cars parked past the drive through window waiting for orders to come out. Orders should be ready after payment is made. I did not use the drive through. Second, the price for food did not match very well. Prices were higher as portions were smaller. Third, the location had a turnover in personnel.

They have closed several underperforming Burger King stores in the last year or so. And if I recall, there is strong competition in that area, including McDonald's, Hardee's, and Cook-Out.

Default Burger King #8869, 1706 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, South Carolina 29316-5123

Cook-Out, located at 1800 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, South Carolina 29316-5124, is constantly busy. I think it has outperformed Burger King in service, quality, price and value.

Burger King should improve its performance at its remaining Spartanburg area locations.

Glad to see Captain D's return to the Upstate. I prefer their seafood over Long John Silver's, which has been closing underperforming stores recently. Hopefully they will also soon add a location in Greenville.

I do not know what happened to Long John Silver's both in the Spartanburg area and across the upstate South Carolina region. Despite having no competition for many years, Long John Silver's has struggled through service, quality, management, and operations.

Captain D's will take the opportunity to outdo Long John Silver's.

Are Long John Silvers and A&W still part of Yum! Brands, or were they sold off from the KFC parent company?

Long John Silver's was sold by Yum! Brands in 2011. Its parent company is LJS Partners LLC.
