I just finally got around to cancelling my subscription.
They do not allow you to do this on their website or through their live chat. You have to call them up during their business hours.
On the greenvilleonline.com website I had tried 2-3 times to switch my linked credit card to a temporary card number which I could then cancel (Citibank allows you to generate and use these numbers) , but each time I did this I got a confirmation email from the "Lafayette, IN Journal and Courier" confirming my payment change, and greenvilleonline.com would continue billing the same card number they always had. I suspect they are intentionally ********** up or at least intentionally not caring as that is their MO.
edit: That was totally not any form of swear word that gets automatically censored lol
I only purchase the Greenville News on Sundays, as it is now $4.00 and the weekday edition is $3.50. Getting pricey for reduced content and fewer coupons insert circulars. And the Charlotte Observer is now $6.00 on Sundays, which is way too much considering they have cut content and reduced sections from just a few years ago. Their online eEdition has much more content.
Since we are at it on local news media, does anyone have any idea in terms of readership volume for each of the several local news media (print + online)?
Charlotte Observer is new to me.
